Our Story
Founder's Note
My name is Ella Kaminsky, and I'm a Czech-American high school student from San Diego. I’ve spent much of my life visiting family in Benešov, a town just south of Prague, and exploring the Czech Republic with my mom, grandma, and sister. Each place we visited had its own unique charm and history, which made it hard to watch how overtourism started to overwhelm Prague, for both locals and travelers.
Last summer, I worked as a tour guide at Konopiště Castle, a favorite spot of mine that’s just a short walk from our home. That experience reminded me how many amazing places outside of Prague deserve more attention.
That’s why I created Czech & Go; to help people discover these lesser-known, but equally rich, destinations. By exploring beyond the capital, travelers can enjoy more meaningful experiences while supporting local communities and easing the pressure on Prague.
